We were sick and tired of Internet pollution, bad marketing and shareholder capitalism, so we started Slices (founded in 2015 in Dublin, Ireland).
We help brands to get more conversions and long-term profits with a no-BS, respectful & structured approach to online marketing.
We’re a team of three people working remotely:
- Serina, our Experience Designer, is based in Seattle.
- Marco, our Researcher, is based in Barcelona.
- Louis, our Founder, is based in Dublin.
We do things differently at Slices:
- We choose when and where we work.
- We focus on what matters and don’t spend more than 40 hours per week in the business.
- We’re 100% funded by our customers.
- We follow trends closely but know that strategy and process are more important.
- Our pricing is based on the performance we deliver.
- We’re here for the long run.
Learn more about the team:
Marco is passionate about technology and the opportunity it represents for businesses. He is happy to be part of a team that shares this passion with him. Previous to Slices, he studied Business and Economics in Italy and Denmark and worked for Dropbox in Ireland.
He is obsessed with football, likes wearing mismatched socks and loves singing in the shower. He hates Facebook, public transportation and people who take themselves too seriously.
Serina grew up in the Silicon Valley, and technology has always been a big part of her life. She started teaching herself HTML at 14 and built websites for her and her friends. From there, she became fascinated with how people’s motivations, thoughts, and behaviors were affected by how information was presented. She decided to go to college to understand this more, graduating in Human Computer Interaction at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD).
Serina is also a certified yoga teacher, a musician and traveler, having backpacked through over 45 countries. She will also eat sushi everyday, given the opportunity.
Louis: When he was a little boy, he used to annoy his mom by constantly connecting to the internet on our 56k modem when she was trying to make a call. He was fascinated by the ability to reach an unlimited amount of people within seconds and by the touch of a button.
Today, Louis is fighting to keep the Internet clean and enjoyable. He loves cooking and uses his fiancee as guinea pig for his culinary experiments. He also loves cursing.
